Deputy Minister Gashi at the conference on the future of the EU: Kosovo is ready to take on responsibility!

Prishtina, 23 October 2021 - The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Liza Gashi, attended today the online session of the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE).

In her speech, Deputy Minister Gashi stressed that Kosovo is ready to take on its responsibilities and that the European Union can never be complete without the countries of the Western Balkans.

Gashi has expressed with a special emphasis that she looks forward for a more substantial participation in this pan-European platform.

“Although we are far from the end of this path, we are ready to take on responsibility and always play a leading role wherever necessary as the Republic of Kosovo and as part of the Western Balkan countries. We are approaching this path for the pan-European project with a significant commitment” stated Deputy Minister Gashi.

Gashi stressed the importance of the EU for all European countries, stating that the EU, as a liberal project supported by common European values, is and will remain a model for all.

“Therefore, the strengthening of democratic structures, the rule of law and the l European values will remain a vital factor for all the countries of the Western Balkans on their path to the European community” ended Gashi.
