Minister Gërvalla received in the meeting the new Commander of KFOR, Major General Kajári

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Donika Gërvalla, received today in a meeting the new Commander of KFOR, Major General Ferenc Kajári.

Wishing him a warm welcome to Kosovo, Minister Gërvalla emphasized the fundamental role that KFOR has in maintaining security and peace in Kosovo and the region. She also expressed the readiness of Kosovo institutions to be in constant cooperation with KFOR.

They discussed about the security situation in Kosovo and onn this occasion, Minister Gërvalla underlined that the recent escalation of Serbian rhetoric, and the strong presence of anti-Kosovo axis through Serbia, poses a real threat to security in the region and deserves a joint response.

At the same time, the Minister informed Major General Kajári about the commitment of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in terms of strengthening the rule of law.
