Deputy Prime Minister Ahmeti hosted in a meeting the Turkish Ambassador Sakar

Prishtina, 31 May 2022 - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mr. Kreshnik Ahmeti, hosted in a meeting the Ambassador of Turkey to the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Çağrı Sakar, with whom he discussed the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and the readiness to deepen the relations even further.

The main focus of this meeting was the application of the Republic of Kosovo for membership in the Council of Europe. Ambassador Sakar was interested in the steps undertaken, while Deputy Minister Ahmeti briefed him on the complex application process and opportunities where Turkey could assist the Republic of Kosovo in this important effort.

In the end, Mr. Ahmeti thanked Mr. Sakar for Turkey's permanent support for the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in international organizations and for the establishment of bilateral relations with other countries.
