Deputy Minister Ahmeti received in a meeting the non-resident Ambassador of Ireland to the Republic of Kosovo

Prishtina, June 7, 2022 - The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti, received in a meeting the non-resident Ambassador of Ireland to the Republic of Kosovo, Ronan Gargan.

Deputy Minister Ahmeti and Ambassador Gargan talked about the excellent relations between the two countries, and reviewed the possibilities of further deepening them through cooperation in various fields, such as economy, security and culture.

Deputy Minister Ahmeti informed the Ambassador regarding the application of the Republic of Kosovo for membership in the Council of Europe. He stressed that sooner membership would have extremely good effects for all communities living in the Republic of Kosovo.

In the end, Mr Ahmeti thanked Mr Gargan for the continued support that Ireland has given and continues to give to Kosovo for membership in international organizations and internal development of the country.
