Deputy Minister Ahmeti received in a meeting Alan Bowman, Ambassador of Canada, in Zagreb

Prishtina, June 9, 2022 - The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti, received in a meeting the Ambassador of Canada, in Zagreb, where he covers the Republic of Kosovo, Alan Bowman.

Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmeti and Ambassador Bowman discussed the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries. Among other things, in the meeting it was discussed regarding the situation in the region and recent developments in Kosovo.

Mr Ahmeti informed the Ambassador about the recognition process and Kosovo's application to the Council of Europe.

On the other hand, Ambassador Bowman reaffirmed Canada's commitment and support in the Euro-Atlantic integration process. Emphasizing that Canada will continue to support the process of recognition of Kosovo in the international arena as well as its membership in international organizations.

Deputy Minister Ahmeti expressed gratitude and appreciation for the continuous assistance and support provided by the State of Canada to the Republic of Kosovo.
