Deputy Minister Ahmeti participated in the SEECP Ministerial in Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki, June 10, 2022 - Today, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mr. Kreshnik Ahmeti, participated in the SEECP Ministerial, in Thessaloniki. In his speech, he thanked Greece for their successful presidency, during a very difficult year for the region, and to the next presidency, Montenegro, he wished success and expressed commitment to close cooperation.

During the discussions, he emphasized that for the region it is extremely important that all countries align with the EU and US foreign policy regarding the Russian Federation.

The Euro-Atlantic integration of the region is of extraordinary importance, especially after the Russian aggression in Ukraine, and this implies the necessity for the EU to take quick steps for the integration of the region and the removal of the visa regime for the citizens of Kosovo.

At the end of the Ministerial, the RCC Annual Report, SEECP Strategy and Work Plan 2023-2025 and the Joint Political Declaration were approved.
