Deputy Minister Gashi participates in the solemn opening of the Anibar International Animation Festival

Prishtina, July 13, 2022 - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Liza Gashi participated in the solemn opening of the 13th edition of the Anibar International Animation Festival. This edition of the festival will take place from 13th until the 19th of July, 2022 in the city of Peja. The festival will continue to promote cultural activities as well as the animated film. The week-long festival program consists of film screenings in competitive programs, artistic films screenings, special programs, masterclasses, presentations by international directors, animation workshops, artistic performances, and discussion panels regarding the festival's theme. The theme of this edition is Superstitions and will be artistically promoted through the trailer, the main visual identity of the festival, other visual promotional materials and other interactive activities.

The organizers of the festival have recalled the fact that this year "Anibar" has shown solidarity with Ukraine artistically by showing a program of animated films from pre-war Ukraine, curated by Anastasiya Verlinska, director of the Animation Festival in Ukraine - "Linoleum".  This edition of the Animated Film Festival will bring 233 films in total, 177 of them are part of the seven competition categories of the Festival.
