Deputy Minister Gashi held a fruitful conversation with participants of the Summer Institute at Teach for Kosovo

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Ms. Liza Gashi, has held a fruitful and interactive conversation with the participants of the Summer Institute organized by Teach For Kosovo.

The Summer Institute is a program that aims to prepare young people about adequate education, choosing a profession, the contribution they can offer to society, as well as preparing for teaching.

In this edition, which is the third in a row, Deputy Minister Gashi has spoken about life between two cultures, her return to Kosovo, as well as the contribution and commitment she offers to bringing the diaspora closer to the mother country.

Deputy Minister Gashi, speaking about the experience gained over the years outside Kosovo, told the participants that her goal has always been to bring the knowledge and experience she gained back to Kosovo.

Gashi expressed her happiness that she now has the opportunity, through the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, to move forward policies that help the integration of the diaspora in their homeland, as well as to open doors of cooperation for all those who want to use the experience gained abroad for the benefit of their country.

In the conversation with the 20 followers of this Institute, Deputy Minister Gashi also shared the projects that she has already initiated in the MFAD.

“We are in the process of drafting the Law and the strategy for the Diaspora, we are working on several programs that aim to create spaces for the engagement of citizens and diplomats”.

Also, Gashi added that "MFAD will soon launch the followship program within the framework of the concept of citizen diplomacy, as well as the launch of the initiative "Diaspora Caravan”.

“All of these have an approximate goal, which is to connect professionals from the diaspora, to build communication bridges between citizens inside and outside, as well as to create new opportunities for engagement in improving the image of the country", said Gashi.

Answering questions from the participants, Deputy Minister Gashi encouraged all those present to work hard for their dreams, and to have the courage to take courageous steps in life.

But above all, "the most important thing is to use the opportunities that come to you in life, to know how to create trust and contacts with people, because this is greater capital than financial capital," Deputy Minister Gashi told the participants.
